ink is my favorite color.
I have pink clothing and accessories and have even owned a pink bike, but I've never incorporated it into my décor.
After seeing an adorable red, pink, lacy lamp creation by Chas at A Woman's Haven, HERE, I was inspired to create a frilly pink vase. Since a vase is a non-committal, seasonal decorative piece, I thought it would be a good place to try pink décor.
A thrift store glass vase was coated with punchy bubble gum pink paint and adorned with fabric rosettes and buttons.
Rosettes have been literally everywhere over the past year, but I hadn't yet attempted to make them. I took Mel at The Crafty Scientist's lead, HERE, and followed a simple tutorial by Vanessa at V and Co., HERE.

Step 1. Painting
- Preparation: clean vase with soap & water, air dry.

| Plain Old Vase |
- Use sponge brush to paint inside of vase.
- Allow to dry completely.
![]() |
| 1st Paint Coat |

| Recycled Soda Can Palette |
- Repeat until you have added 4 coats of paint.

(I Mod Podge'd only the top portion of the vase)
Step 2. Lacey Love

| Lace Spool (will post on coat hanger ribbon organizer another day!) |

Step 3. Recycled Fabric Rosettes
- Take any old piece of clothing or scrap fabric of your desired color. I chose an old VS PJ shirt with sparkles that ended up in the bed & all over my guy's face (very work inappropriate).
![]() |
| Perfect Red & White Stripes |
- Cut out desired part of garment.
![]() |
| Sleeve with stripes & solids |
- Use hot glue to create Rosettes, according to V and Co's tutorial, found HERE.
Step 4. Button Up
- Use string or thread to create faux stitches on buttons.

| Faux Button Stitching |
- Use hot glue to attach buttons to center of fabric Rosettes.
Step 6. Adorn the Vase
- Use hot glue to attach Rosettes and buttons to vase.
