levenses
def. -- a snack similar to afternoon tea but eaten in the morning.
Also well known to some as a clothing brand made exclusively for Anthropologie.
Since my latest creations were inspired by both Anthro and tea time, it was only fitting to name them the “Elevenses Candles.”
I’m quite excited about the new eye candy, as I’ve been working on this project since my Valentine’s weekend trips to Goodwill and the 99 cent store. Here they are:

The guy in line ahead of me at Goodwill said,
"what a pretty teapot!"
I just nodded and smiled.

Read on for the how-to...
Protocol
- Arrange your cups and saucers.
- It's helpful to take a picture at this point.

Odd looking arrangement
Step 2: Super gluing.
- Disassemble the stack of cups and saucers.
- Using your pic as a guide, start from bottom of stack & attach pieces with Gorilla super glue.
- Allow to dry overnight.

Super strong stuff
Step 3: Prime & Paint.
- Arrange glued pieces on dropcloth.
- Coat with primer per product instructions.
(I used 4 light coats, 10 minutes apart.)
- Spray paint per product instructions.
(I used 3 light coats, 10 minutes apart,
plus many touch ups.)
- Allow to dry overnight.

Prime & paint
Step 4: Super glue again.
- Use super glue to attach glasses to top of painted pieces.
Which topper to use?
I chose the pebbled glass (left) because
it has a flat surface on the inside.
-----Step 5: Add candles.
In the spirit of Spring Stashbust, I used little candles I had at home instead of purchasing new ones.
